Diabetic and erectile dysfunction, Is there any connection?

The diabetic people are one of the most widely affected people in the world. With the death rate of more than 56% of the diabetic patients, this disease also takes its toll on many men. There are many complications of diabetes on many people and when it comes to the majority of people, there are also some people who are affected in their vascular system which is affected by diabetes. The vascular system and sinusoids present in the cavernous venosum of the penis is mostly responsible for the erection. But when the diabetes ensues, many of these patients are still able to perform, but soon enough, these people are fell prey for the erectile dysfunction.
There is the huge proportion of men who are not taking care of their erectile dysfunction and they are diabetic. There are many complications of the diabetes mellitus, and when it comes to the vascular system, these complications will cause many conditions like hypertension, myocardial infarction and gangrenes in most areas of the body. Hence, when it comes to the formation of the plaques in the cavernous sinus in the penis, there is the problem of the erectile dysfunction.
London University has shown that the cohort study on the diabetic men who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. The problem is most of the time has been proven to affect men who are suffering from the type II diabetes mellitus. Most of the complications which will come forward in the diabetic patients are seem to happen for the patients who are suffering from type II. Along with this, there is also the evidence that the gangrene of the penis has also proven to be true in the patients who are not taking care and controlling of the sugar in the body. Most of the soft tissues are affected by it and when it comes for the non healing wound, it is also regarded as one of the major problems for many diabetic patients.
Erectile dysfunction is mostly controlled by the people who are taking the medications for it, for example Viagra. However, the recent research in London University has also shown that the interaction of the sugar levels in blood, the medications that are being taken for diabetes and the medications that are being taken by the people who are suffering from erectile dysfunction. There is the huge connection because the adverse reactions like pauperism due to pooling of blood in the cavernous venosum will cause gangrene.
