Metformin, Congestive Cardiac failure and Diabetes Mellitus- Is there any better option?

There are many complications which are associated with the Diabetes Mellitus, and when it comes to the treatment for it, there shall be no contradiction in the medications that are being used for it. Hence, a new study done by UCLA proves that the use of the metformin is save in the patients who have the Diabetes Mellitus and later on, they develop the congestive cardiac failure as the complication for it. This study has been shown to be true in the Journal of Cardiac failure, and it is available on the internet too.

In USA alone, there are more than 2 million patients who are suffering from the CCF (congestive cardiac failure) and Diabetes Mellitus at the same time. Most of these people are using this drug to remain on the safe side, and with it, there are many things which are required to be considered for it. According to the previous research done, it was shown that the patients who are suffering from the CCF will develop the Diabetes Mellitus in the later part of their life. However, the vice versa for this is also applicable for it. The amount of sugar, and the other factors which will increase the speed of the coronary atherosclerosis is one of the major components which will show that how it will make the combination of the both the Diabetes Mellitus and CCF to develop in that person. Hence, according to many researchers, there is the strong relationship between the CCF and Diabetes Mellitus.

According to the comprehensive heart failure management programs, the cohort of 401 patients was studied, and this cohort was studied for more than 14 years. The results for this were phenomenal and when it was looked with the use of metformin, most of the patients who were using this drug was on the safe side and there was no development of the CCF in these patients. The previous study between the link of CCF and Diabetes Mellitus showed that both are the independent risk factor for each other. However, each of these can be controlled with the use of metformin which will save the patient from all the trouble of getting the complication for it. There are many favorable outcomes for it, and it proves that it will show the best of the ways in which metformin can be used in Diabetes Mellitus in order to prevent oneself from developing the CCF in the patients.
